    Ipswich Solar Panels

    Ipswich has the perfect environment for making the switch to solar energy. With so many bright sunny days for much of the year, and strong tropical light even on overcast days, Ipswich provides the conditions that help you get the best from a solar energy system. To get the best deals on Ipswich solar panels, talk to SolarKraft, the experts in Australian solar energy systems.

    SolarKraft provides the very best in solar systems for Ipswich, stocking the best brands and providing top quality installers to ensure you have a safe and reliable energy system in your home or business. We also specialise in Ipswich commercial solar installation, helping business to save significantly on their energy consumption costs, which has considerable benefits to the business beyond just the direct cost savings.

    Our service provides Ipswich solar installation for systems from as small as 3kW & 6KW to massive systems that could generate 3MW or more. If the location where you’ll be having the system installed is a rural location, you would benefit from installing the largest solar array you possibly can. The cost of installing a large solar array can be steep, but with SolarKraft’s $0 upfront offer, and 3 to 7 years to repay the balance, you can easily afford to purchase as much solar as you need, or even considerably more than you need.

    Government rebates will eat quite a bit of the cost, and the energy savings you’ll make (especially in Ipswich) will practically offset the cost of the monthly repayments. Once you’ve fully paid off the cost of your solar energy system, every additional kWh you generate is pure profit, either from the money you save on your energy bills or from energy that you sell back to the grid.

    What solar products are recommended for Ipswich customers?

    Close to 100 percent of residential homes in Ipswich are connected to the utility grid so if your goal is to simply save on energy costs, then we’d recommend using a combination of;

    • Redback Solar SH500 Smart Hybrid System inverter and backup battery storage. This gives you some emergency power during a blackout, but still provides the benefits of grid connection so you’re not having to micromanage your energy use.
    • REC TwinPeak2 solar panels. These award-winning solar panels are highly efficient, compact, and excellent performers all year round. REC panels are resilient, work well even in low light conditions, and have anti-PID technology to guard against energy leaks.

    If you are installing in a more remote area, you’ll need quite a bit more than what the above can provide. Here’s what we recommend in these cases;

    • Install as many panels as you can fit.
    • A massive solar battery bank. As many batteries as you can afford to buy.
    • Phono solar panels. You can buy these as standard modules, MWT modules, or nanotexture modules. They’re extremely tough and will stand up to any conditions in the Australian environment, including hail, dust storms, minor wildlife impacts, and so on. They’ll also cope with the sometimes extreme temperatures that can occur in the Queensland outback.

    How can I work out how big of a system I need?

    For ordinary grid-connected residential installations, the easiest way is to check your power bill. For every 11000 kWh per annum, you’ll need 30kW to meet up to 100 percent of those needs. Then you simply work out how much the percentage of energy you want to save is, and this gives you the size of system you need.

    If it’s not clear how that 30kW figure is derived, 11000 kWh per annum is equivalent to around 30kW per day. If you use a lot less than 11000 kW per annum, then you’ll probably want a smaller system than 30kW, and if you use considerably more than 11000 kW per annum, you’ll probably want much more than 30kW.

    If your energy consumption was around 4000 to 4500 kWh per annum, you could get by with a 12kW system, for example.

    Then having determined that you need a 12kW system to meet 100 percent of your energy needs, you may decide you want to save 50 percent of your electricity costs, so you would purchase a 6kW system. Purchasing a 12kW system or higher in this situation would be better over the long term of course.
